Voodoo Fest

We've given out our trips and we're packing our bags for Voodoo Fest 2008. Its the most amazing Voodoo ever, with Nine Inch Nails, R.E.M., Stone Temple Pilots, Death Cab for Cutie, and many more. Check out the Pat and Dutch Experience live from Voodoo for every day of the festival, October 24-26. We'll be bringing you all the excitement and debouchery all weekend long.

The Brouhaha Spooktacular at The Masquerade

99X.COM brings back the Brouhaha Spooktacular to take over all three levels of The Masquerade for an evening full of live music, deejays, costumed freaks, and future -predicting psychics. Check out Atlanta’s top party bands and DJ's. Get there early to sign up for the $1000 costume contest at Midnight. It all goes down, Friday, October 31st at The Masquerade (695 North Ave.) Tickets are just $16 and available at all TicketMaster outlets, ticketmaster.com or via the phone (404) 249-6400. Tickets are also available with no service charge at The Masquerade Box Office.

Beastie Boys playing shows leading up to election

The Beastie Boys are showing their support for democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama with the Get Out and Vote Tour. The three-show jaunt will take place Oct. 28 in Richmond, Va.; Nov. 1 in Saint Paul, Minn.; and Nov. 2 in Milwaukee. "The election is too important to stay at home," says the band in a statement. The Beasties will be joined by such acts as Jack Johnson, Sheryl Crow and Tenacious D at the various stops.
